American Home Shield will pay up to $2,000 per covered appliance ($4,000 with the ShieldPlatinum™ plan) for access, diagnosis, and repair/replacement per the limitations and exclusions in your plan agreement.
With American Home Shield, all parts and components of your refrigerator are covered. AHS will cover up to $2,000 per covered appliance with our ShieldGold plan and up to $4,000 per covered appliance with the ShieldPlatinum plan. And, if you have multiple refrigerators, we'll cover them all.
Our ShieldGold and ShieldPlatinum plans cover the parts and components of refrigerators, including water leaks, in-refrigerator icemaker, water filter, evaporator fan, and thermostat. ShieldGold covers up to $2,000 per appliance and ShieldPlatinum covers up to $4,000 per appliance. Our standard home warranty contract term is 1 year and renews for additional 1-year terms unless canceled. You can place your first service request 30 days after you sign up for your plan. You will not be charged until your coverage begins at the 30-day mark.
If we can’t repair your refrigerator, we’ll replace it subject to the limitations and exclusions of your plan agreement and remove the defective item.
